Heraldry isn’t just art—it’s a legacy that spans generations. I'm here to create work that matters, led by a commitment to quality and tradition.

My Story

What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. I'm proud of where I've been and even more excited for what’s ahead. What sets me apart isn’t just my process—it’s the intention behind it. I take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.

I was born in the small rural town of Streator, Illinois. From an early age I enjoyed art. I began as a child drawing comic book characters and by my early teenage years I became obsessed with recreating engravings with ink pen. Of course heraldry also became a passion of mine, but I have such a wide range of eclectic interests as well. I enjoy hiking state and local parks tocollect insects and plant specimens; I maintain a coin and paper currency collection; I collect military medals; I have a collection of rocks, minerals, and fossils; I keep a small stamp collection; and I have a great interest in antiquarian books, owning many examples. I also enjoy player casting as a hobby, and I am learning to rebind books.

I left for California in 2007. The sudden passing of my father brought me back home the following year. I have settled back in my home town and operate my studio in Streator, Illinois.

My work has been published by the American Heraldry Society, the American College of Heraldry, and the New England Historic Genealogical Society. I also designed the official badge for International Heraldry Day.

I have been honored to attend the International Congress of Genealogical & Heraldic Sciences, the Lithuanian Institute of Genealogy, Heraldry & Vexillology, and the American Heraldry Society’s Annual Symposium.

Traditional ideas

Through every step, I've focused on staying true to traditional heraldic customs and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.

Lasting impact

I build with clarity, act with integrity, and always stay curious. That continued push for growth is what has allowed me to become a leader in this field.
